This collision work involved repairing the body and laying down paint. It's always a challenge matching color and determining what the previous painter did to the car such as how thick the old paint is that was used, etc. Therefore we discourage this type of work. This Chevy turned out to be a nice looking ride despite the challenges.

This restoration project began with much needed metal work, and continued with the correct fitment of body parts. After skillfully applying body and paint, we finished with the exact fitment of a mid to late '65 model top canvas to this early model '65 which called for a lot of modification and multiple adjustments.

1965 Shelby Cobra Relic owned by Wayne Roberts of Hickory, NC.
Beef up customer-supplied fiberglass body. Fabricate rocker panel floor pieces to fit body and chassis.

This stunning 1966 Chevrolet Corvette was brought to Squid's Rod Shop in a non-running condition. After getting the Corvette running, Squid's Rod Shop replaced all the suspension bushings with polyurethane bushings, cleaned and painted the suspension components, and replaced all the brake calipers.

This beautiful LS1 powered 1967 Chevy II Nova was brought to Squid's Rod Shop in a non-running condition after sitting idle for awhile. Squid's Rod Shop got it back safely on the road along with performing a few minor updates along the way.

Replace and repair bad metal areas of body, floors, etc. Install Fat Man Fabrications Sub-frame, Detroit Speed deep tubs, LS3 Crate motor and Transmission, Ididit column, Ride Tech coil-overs, Moser 9" Muscle Pak Rear, and Tanks, Inc. fuel tank. Perform necessary body work and coat the vehicle with epoxy primer.
