1967 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Selected as a 2026 HRIA SEMA Unveil Car
We’re honored to announce that the 1967 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser currently under construction at Squid’s Rod Shop has been selected for the Hot Rod Industry Alliance display at the 2026 SEMA Show and as one of the official HRIA Unveil Cars for opening day.
The concept is a W-30 Vista Cruiser: our interpretation of a high-performance wagon Oldsmobile never built, but very well could have. The build preserves the unmistakable character of the Vista Cruiser while reimagining it with the stance, performance, craftsmanship, and details of a factory-developed W-30 model.
It is built on a one-of-one custom Roadster Shop Revo chassis and powered by a GM 6.6-liter L8T engine with a BTR cam kit, custom-built headers and exhaust, a fully fabricated air cleaner and intake system, and an HP Tuners CORE ECU. Brown & Miller Racing Solutions Smooth Bore lines are used throughout the vehicle to create a clean, high-end installation.
One-off bodywork includes a 1968 Oldsmobile 442 hood bulge incorporated into the original 1967 hood, reshaped and tucked bumpers, fabricated bumper fillers and front air dam, custom engine-bay closeout panels, a custom roof rack, and recessed door-lock cylinders. The exterior will be finished in a custom mixed dark cherry with subtle ghost graphics and paired with polished Budnik Muroc IV wheels.
Inside, the Vista Cruiser will feature a custom cream and burgundy leather interior by Hot Rod Interiors by Chuck, Dakota Digital gauges and supporting control modules, and a Vintage Air Gen V climate-control system. Every element is being designed to make the finished car feel authentically Oldsmobile while delivering the performance, comfort, and craftsmanship of a modern high-end build.
