Squid's Rod Shop offers individual RideTech air suspension components for custom cars, muscle cars, street rods, classic trucks, and restomod applications. Our current catalog includes double convoluted air springs, rolling sleeve air springs, universal installer kits, and RidePro air management equipment. These components provide flexibility for custom installations where a complete vehicle-specific suspension package may not be available or appropriate.

RideTech Air Suspension Components

Double Convoluted Air Springs: RideTech double convoluted air springs are designed to support vehicle weight through adjustable air pressure. Our catalog includes the 224 (Part #90006873), 267C (Part #90006781), and 26C (Part #90007325) air springs. Each offers different load capacities, operating heights, and inflated diameters for various suspension applications.

Rolling Sleeve Air Springs: The RideTech rolling sleeve rear air spring (Part #90007012) is designed for applications requiring a longer operating stroke and relatively compact spring diameter. This type of air spring is commonly used in certain rear suspension and AirOverLeaf configurations.

Universal Installer Kits: RideTech two-wheel installer kits provide components for adapting air springs to custom suspension applications. Our catalog includes the 255 Installer Kit (Part #11009500) and 9000 Installer Kit (Part #11009502). These kits are useful when designing a custom air suspension installation for a vehicle without a dedicated bolt-on system.

RidePro Air Management: The RidePro Analog 4-Way Control System (Part #30154000) provides manual control of four individual air suspension circuits. Its analog control panel incorporates dual-needle air pressure gauges and individual switches for adjusting air spring pressure at each corner of the vehicle.

Air Suspension Selection & Compatibility

Proper air spring selection requires consideration of vehicle weight, suspension motion ratio, spring mounting dimensions, available suspension travel, operating ride height, and clearance throughout the complete range of motion.

Double convoluted and rolling sleeve air springs have different installation requirements. Depending on the application, bump stops, suspension travel limiters, compatible shock absorbers, and custom mounting brackets may be necessary to prevent damage to the air springs or surrounding components.

Air management systems must also be matched to the vehicle's intended use and the air suspension components being installed. Air compressors, reservoirs, valves, air lines, fittings, and control systems should be selected as part of a properly engineered suspension package.
