1979 - 1993 Ford Mustang - SPEC Chassis

The all-new Roadster Shop Fox Body Mustang SPEC Chassis focuses on the development of a 100% bolt-on chassis and suspension system, designed for ease of installation and enhanced performance. This is the only complete integrated solution that solves all of the shortcomings of trying to build a Fox Body to today’s standards. The bolt-on chassis requires no floor or body modifications, fitting popular drivetrains like the Coyote, Godzilla, EFI SBF, and LS/LT engines. A new SLA independent front suspension system optimizes camber gain, providing better handling and fitment for wider wheels. Eliminating the factory strut towers yields more engine bay room and superior suspension geometry. The parallel 4-link rear suspension replaces the original Ford 8.8 axle with a more robust Ford 9” axle, supporting larger tires and better exhaust clearance. The optimized stance lowers the car beyond the capabilities of current bolt on suspension components, but retains higher ground clearance under the car while also improving room for exhaust systems. Additionally, exhaust, headers, and suspension components are designed to fit seamlessly with no major modifications, while various accessory fitments ensure compatibility with multiple engine types. This chassis offers a comprehensive upgrade that enhances both performance and ease of installation for Fox Body enthusiasts.
