All recommendations for parts are our opinions based on our experience as a hot rod builder. We cannot accept liability for these opinions, but we do accept responsibility for giving you the best advice we know how.
Building your car and finding the right parts often reveals hidden problems. Engineering complications are inherent in street-rod builds and in customizing older vehicles, so be prepared for bumps and bruises during this delightful, rewarding, and challenging journey we call “building your hot rod.”
We recommend that you ask questions and keep all documentation of work completed and parts purchased in your files. Always choose reputable builders to help with your project, and require detailed weekly documentation—including written reports, photos, and invoices. Many people think they can open a shop and build cars for others, but when it’s time to deliver, they often discover it isn’t as easy as it sounds.
This exciting and growing industry thrives because people like you love a challenge, love fast and powerful automobiles, and appreciate making something useful out of something used up. We appreciate you and wish you the best in your projects!
Estimates
As much as we would like to estimate the cost of your project, we simply cannot. Disassembly, fabrication, and renovation frequently uncover unforeseen rust or metal damage, legacy parts that don’t fit with new components, and other engineering complications inherent to custom builds.
Guarantee
All aftermarket parts used in your build are subject to the warranty policies of their manufacturers. We cannot be responsible for any costs involved in their replacement or repair if they are defective. We do, however, guarantee our fabrication and installation quality and craftsmanship—and we promise to give you the best value for your money.
Payments
Just as you trust our ability to deliver quality workmanship, we trust that you will make timely payments. Our policy is to bill weekly for work completed and parts purchased. Please be ready to pay within seven (7) days of the invoice date. If something prevents timely payment, let us know so other arrangements can be made.
Photos
We document every project with photos throughout the build. Within the first week of your project, you’ll receive a personal login for our GlobalWorkshop portal where you can follow the chronological progress of your vehicle. Detailed before-and-after photos are uploaded during each phase so you can follow along even if you can’t visit the shop in person. For an overview, see the GlobalWorkshop case study on our shop here .
Storage
Because we have limited storage space, please plan to pick up your vehicle as soon as you’re notified that the work has been completed. We appreciate your understanding.
